Supply check and our fish are coming!

Hello families!

First, the big news in class is our trout eggs are coming!  We will be receiving 100 rainbow trout eggs from the Hayspur Fish Hatchery (near Picabo, Idaho) on Wednesday, Jan. 21st!  Students will get to meet our fish biologist, Tony Lamansky, at that time as well.  We will be raising these trout until mid to late April and then releasing them into McDevitt Pond (at the corner of McMillan and Eagle Rd.).  I have been in working on the tank today to get it ready for our new fish!

Did you know that out of 32 students, only 14 families have logged on to PowerSchools to check their student's 1st trimester report card?  I sent home instructions on how to do this, but if you need me to print and send another copy I would be happy to do so.  We are coming close to ending another trimester and I want to make sure that all families are aware of how their students are doing!

The final thing I wanted to ask parents, is to check with their students to see what supplies are needing to be replenished.  Many students are out of Expo markers, erasers, glue sticks, etc.  I am constantly giving out new markers and my glue sticks I purchased are long gone.  If your student needs any more supplies, please send more in!  Also, we are down to our last 2 boxes of tissues.  If you did not bring any in at the beginning of the year, we would appreciate you sending in a box now.  What we have will only get us through the end of the month.

I have updated the "Looking Ahead" tab for the week if you would like to see what we are going to be working on this week.

Have a great evening!

Mrs. Spenner
